Synapse Media is the project of intermedia artist and educator Elysse Deveaux (BA Communication Studies, MA Education Sociology). With 10+ years experience in multimedia production for web, film and print in the social and educational sectors, she specializes in instructional design and alternative learning for a diversity of audiences. Her current graduate research addresses the critical media literacy skills gap in K-12 curriculum, with an emphasis on mobilizing internet memes as visual pedagogy.
